Wedding Bridal bouquet and bridesmaid's bouquets
Now, it goes without saying that planning a wedding is stressful. We’ve all heard stories of nice, thoughtful people becoming bridezillas and total recluses. And it makes sense. It is, for most people at the time, the most important day of your life. Before wedding planning, you probably found that the biggest thing you had to organise was a major birthday or surprise party. There aren’t many of us who have degree’s in event planning and so we have no idea how to do it or where to start. Read More

FAQ: What is the advantage to having a Second Shooter?

Camera, Holding, Photography, Photographer

It goes without saying that weddings are expensive. A lot of couples will make a budget and the top expenses often (but not always) go in this order: Venue + Catering, Wedding Dress, Photographer. After those three things, there is often not a lot left in the budget for much else let alone paying extra for a second¬†photographer. However, having a second photographer is hugely valuable and doesn’t cost that much more. As my husband would say, it’s a massive net positive (meaning that the benefits vastly outweigh the cost).

Ayesha & Afif: A Winter Wedding

bride and groom, first dance, wedding, wedding day

Well, the rain certainly did pour on this day. It was a gorgeous wedding in January and spirits were high, despite the awful weather.

This wedding was not only on a budget but they also only had 3 months to plan it – EEK! The groom was from Lebanon and they had met in Dubai. Due to complicated visa issues (that I can’t even begin to understand) they had a very short window in which to marry so this was a lastminute.com wedding but you would absolutely never know. Last Summer (2017)

The Strange Wedding

Apologies that this one is being written almost a year after it was photographed but I want to take some time to tell you about the wedding of Mel and David.

They got married in a woodland area near Newbury on a sunny weekend in August and didn’t have all the money in the world to spend on their big day. Can I just say, if you ever need classy tips on how to do a wedding on a budget, these are the two to ask. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. Read More
